Greenville SC: an equine community
Written by Savannah Hawkins-Seybold on 5/3/2023
Everyone who knows me knows at least one thing about me- I am a die hard horse girl. No, I don’t run around on all fours and pretend to eat grass. I do spend as much time as possible at the barn and on a horse’s back. Very briefly, I taught riding lessons in Simpsonville SC between 2017-2018 before relocating to Las Vegas due to my husband’s job with the Air Force. Since moving back, I am no longer teaching but still very much involved in the horse community. I hope that this blog post serves as a library of local resources for you.
Firstly, I’d like to point out the unique position of our location. Greenville is a reasonable drive to multiple show facilities including Tryon International Equestrian Center, F.E.N.C.E., South Carolina Equine Park, etc. I will list links to local associations & facilities below, as well. With Greenville’s bustling industry, we really are in an ideal (in my opinion) location as an amateur rider. Wherever you are working or living, there is likely a boarding or lesson barn just minutes away from you.
If you are moving to the upstate and find this information helpful, please let me know. I would love to connect with you. I hope to see you around, neigh-bor!
